voestalpine Stahl Donawitz is using two new pressure vessel gunning machines Type EKU-K from VELCO/Germany for the gunning repairs of blast furnace channels at the Donawitz/Austria plant. The machines each have a chamber volume of 400 litres and are designed for filling with bags. The pallet with the gunning material is placed on a special carrying rack at the machine. From this position, the operator can easily fill the machine via the hopper.

The machine got a sturdy support frame and can be easily transported by means of a forklift or crane.
